The matter of Jarrett Parker v Government of Yukon, Department of Health and Social Services will be heard by a Yukon Human Rights Board of Adjudication beginning on April 19, 2022. This hearing concerns a human rights complaint of discrimination on the basis of physical or mental disability in the area of employment. The hearing will take place on April 19 to 22, 2022, commencing each day at 9:00am at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre at 1171 Front Street, Whitehorse, Yukon. Members of the public can attend the hearing in person (subject to any COVID-19 restrictions) or via Zoom.

The Board Chair for this hearing is Judith Hartling, Chief Adjudicator of the Yukon Human Rights Panel of Adjudication (www.yhrpa.ca). The Yukon Human Rights Panel of Adjudication is a body created under the Yukon Human Rights Act, which is separate and independent from the Yukon Human Rights Commission. The role of the Yukon Human Rights Panel of Adjudication is to adjudicate human rights complaints after they have been referred to a hearing by the Yukon Human Rights Commission.
