Administrative Officer

The Yukon Human Rights Commission is seeking an Administrative Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Human Rights, the Administrative Officer will provide a wide range of administrative, financial, and operational services to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office and trauma-informed service to the public. We are looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience with this type of work, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of human rights law in Canada is an asset!

The Commission is a small and impactful organisation that was created in 1987 to promote equality and diversity through research, education, and enforcement of the Yukon Human Rights Act. The Commission is independent from all levels of government. Its process is governed by the Act and the Yukon Human Rights Regulations. We offer a competitive salary of $71,320 to $82,550, great benefits including life insurance and pension contributions, and a beautiful office in downtown Whitehorse.

Senior Investigator

The Yukon Human Rights Commission is looking for someone with a human rights background to join our team as Senior Investigator. The incumbent will play a key role in fulfilling the inquiry and complaint processes mandated by our governing laws and policies, as well as promoting the implementation of leading practices, work closely with the team of Human Rights Officers, and address complex inquiries and complaints. We are looking for someone with 1-3 years of human rights and/or legal experience, as well as solid communication and problem-solving skills.

The Commission is a small and impactful organisation that was created in 1987 to promote equality and diversity through research, education, and enforcement of the Yukon Human Rights Act. The Commission is independent from all levels of government. Its process is governed by the Act and the Yukon Human Rights Regulations. We offer a competitive salary of $99,175 to $131,405, great benefits including life insurance and pension contributions, and a beautiful office in downtown Whitehorse.
